Zana and the Band
Zana & the Band:
Zana is an 18-year old up-and-coming singer/songwriter. Currently a sophomore at the esteemed Berklee College of Music in Boston, Zana is a versatile musician (drummer, percussionist, and guitarist) originally from the Oakland Bay Area, where she performed with her award-winning Skyline High School jazz band, as well as local musicians. Having collaborated with Grammy winning producers Tim Mitchell and George Noriega, and multi-platinum award winner vocal producer Narada Michael Walden, Zana is launching a solo career as a pop artist with the release of her debut album in the coming year. A gifted songwriter with a sultry voice, Zana’s unique style, which fuses Arabic and Latin influences to create what she labels as her ‘gypsy-pop’ sound is both upbeat and soulful, allowing her to showcase her hip-shaking belly dancing moves while performing.
Bacon is a California Jam Band. With influences from rock, jazz, classical, blues, country and funk, Bacon’s eclectic flavors mix to form something indescribable—rhythmic with a fluid melody, structure improvisation, communicative self-indulgence, rockin’ with driving dynamics.
Montclair Dance Athletics:
Montclair Dance Athletics is creating space for the progressive dance community to incubate, collaborate, demonstrate, and teach technique grounded in freestyle and choreographed movement to dancers and non-dancers alike. We bring a disciplined and structured approach to the evolution and education of movement, allowing students to grow and develop. With values deep rooted with people, we aim for excellence and measure our success by the success of our students. Overall, our intent is to make the experience educational, fun, and healthy with some kick-your-butt and easy breezy mixed in. Beginners and fitness enthusiasts encouraged.

All accomplished musicians, the four members in the band also sing lead vocals. Each singer brings their own individual sound, charisma and vocal stylings, producing a rare variety of good listening music for even the most discerning listener.
Finely crafted harmonies provide a traditional down home “feel”. The richness of the vocals and the vibrancy of the music will have you out of your seats and rockin’ out!
