Meet Tamim Ansary, author of West of Kabul, East of New York, as he discusses his new literary memoir, Road Trips: Becoming an American in the Vapor Trail of the Sixties. Here he describes several road trips he took in the late 1960’s-early 70’s as a recent transplant to the U.S. from Afghanistan. Ansary is also the author of Destiny Disrupted: A History of the World Through Islamic Eyes, The Widow’s Husband, and Games Without Rules. Copies of his work will be offered for sale and signing following the program courtesy of A Great Good Place for Books.
