1. When does the MVA meet?

We meet the first Wednesday of each month , 6:15 p.m., at US Bank, 1998 Mountain Blvd. Anyone is welcome to attend our meetings to learn about MVA projects, ask questions or share information of interest to the Board. Anyone wishing to address the Board can do so during Open Forum by filling out a speaker card at the beginning of the meeting. To be on the agenda, please contact the Association office two weeks prior to the desired meeting. The MVA Administrator can be reached at 510.339.1000.

2. Are all businesses part of the association?

Yes, If they are in the geographical boundaries of the Village area, including Village Square, or are an Associate Member in good standing.

3. How does the business recycling program work?

The MVA in conjunction with California Waste Solutions has a curbside recycling program for cardboard, glass, plastic, and aluminum that is available for all Village businesses. Recycling is placed curbside every Thursday evening after 6:00 PM in special, rented gray waste containers (same as those used by residents in the area), or recycling bags that can be purchased from California Waste Solutions. It is acceptable for cardboard to be stacked flat when placed with a recycling bag or gray container.

4. What are the rates and hours of the Village Parking Garage?

Many business validate for up to 3 free hours of free parking in the Village Garage. Look for the green “We Validate” window decal on participating businesses. The Village Garage currently charges $2.00 per hour with a maximum of $10.00 per day. Save yourself the hassle of parking meters and finding a spot, park in the Montclair Village Parking Garage at the top of La Salle. Hours of operation are:

Monday –  Thursday – 7:00 AM. to 9:00 PM
Friday – 7:00 AM. to 9:00 PM
Saturday – 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Sunday – Free Parking 8:30 AM. to 6:00 PM.
No cars are allowed to enter one half hour before closing.
The garage is closed on all major holidays.

5. How do I get to Montclair Village?

Montclair Village is located directly off Highway 13 (Warren Freeway). If you are heading south toward Hayward take the Thornhill/Moraga exit and keep to the left. If you are heading north toward Berkeley, take the Park Blvd. exit and proceed left at the stop sign. If you utilize public transportation, AC Transit serves the Village.

6. When are the Pacific Fine Arts Festivals held?

The Pacific Fine Arts Festival showcases many independent artisans twice a year in the Village each summer and fall. See our Calendar for the current year’s dates.
