Montclair Safety and Improvement Council (MSIC) This all-volunteer community organization focuses on safety issues and enhancements to the greater Montclair area surrounding the Village. It deals with items like mail theft, traffic & pedestrian safety, emergency response in the event of an earthquake or fire, and beautification projects. Volunteers are always welcome!

Localwise Are you hiring? We recently teamed up with Localwise—the new local job board in the Bay Area—to help Montclair businesses hire local employees.The Localwise applicant pool is made up of East Bay students (UC Berkeley, BCC, Mills College etc.), as well as local community members.

Parks and Recreation
East Bay Regional Park District Provides information on all the East Bay parks, including our own Village Park. Provides resources for making reservations as well as a calendar of events.
Friends of Montclair Railroad Trail This is a community-based group of trail users, neighbors and supporters who value this historic walking/biking trail. The paved 1.5 mile trail runs between Montclair Village and Shepherd Canyon’s Saroni Drive in Oakland CA. More info about the trail and volunteer opportunities can be found on their website.
Friends of Sausal Creek (FOSC) This is a community-based group dedicated to preserving and protecting the creek and its watershed as a natural and a community resource. Neighbors and FOSC staff lead community workdays at restoration sites in Beaconsfield Canyon, Dimond Canyon Park, Marj Saunders Park, and Shepherd Canyon Park, as well as at the Joaquin Miller Park Native Plant Nursery.

Montclair Organized Neighborhoods (MONs) Over 90 neighborhood groups are organized to address issues like emergency preparedness, traffic safety, crime & safety, and social networking. Piedmont Pines Neighborhood Association Comprised of most of the homes south and east of the Village.
Shepherd Canyon Homeowner Association Comprised of most of the homes north and east of the Village.
Woodminster Amphitheater For over 35 years Producer’s Associates, Inc. has been providing Bay Area audiences with high quality musical theatre entertainment. Shows run throughout the summer.
Transportation
East Bay Bicycle Coalition This volunteer organization is dedicated to promoting bicycling as a means of everyday transportation and recreation.
Regional Transportation Providing information for all public transportation including: BART, AC Transit, and ferries, including schedules.
